Fundraising Success Stories
We've provided you with many examples of creative fundraising ideas to make your efforts easier and more fun! Some walkers have gone one step further and come up with new and interesting ways to raise funds for the National Psoriasis Foundation. Below we've provided samples of what you have come up with:
Check out this group in Oak Ridge, Tenn. that raised over $2000! It's easy.
San Francisco walker, Diane Lewis Paul says, "The key for me has been to personalize my requests. I raised $250 in under 24 hours. The latest email blast is motivating people who said yes but hadn't donated." Check out the personalized flyer Diane made to recruit teammates and donors.
The San Diego Walk Committee is having a restaurant fundraiser at the Golden Egg Omelet House.

New York Committee member, Erica DeLorenzo organized a yoga class with all proceeds of the $10 entry fee benefiting the National Psoriasis Foundation. Check out the flyer for this event:

New York walker, Diane Psilakis has created donation jars displaying the Walk logo and this flyer to tell her personal story. She delivered these items to businesses in her area and will check back regularly to collect the donations.

Greetings,
The 2009 National Psoriasis Walk for Awareness was quite successful.Team ONE Love had a group of 22 walkers this year. We came in 3rd and raised over $3,400. The LA walk raised over $33,000 with donations still being collected.
As you know, I have lived and suffered with this horrible disease my whole life. It is important to me to have such caring and generous people willing to help find a cure. Thanks to all who contributed, I really appreciate your generosity.
To my 21 walkers and teammates that came out SO early Saturday morning and survived the 5k walk, and all your fund-raising efforts... THANK YOU! Your friendship and support means a lot to me, and to the millions of Americans who live with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Thanks again to everyone involved. May God bless you and touch your life as you have touched mine.
Blessings,
Laurice
P.S. Please consider joining Team ONE Love and walking the 5k with us next year! Information will be emailed toward the end of the year.
Check out this thank you card that Laurice sent to her teammates and donors after the walk!
