1. What is the Walk Center?

Everyone who registers create a user name and password to log in to the Walk Center. Here you’re able to use sample donation request letters, customize your personal and team Web sites and track your fundraising progress.

2. How do I log in to my Walk Center?
To get started, visit the page for the city where you plan to walk and click on the “My Walk Center” link on the right side of the page. Then enter the user name and password you created when you registered.

3. I forgot my password. What should I do?

Go to the page for the city where you plan to walk and click “Forgot password” at the top of the page. Fill in your user name and e-mail address under “E-mail me my Password” and then click on “Send Password.” Within moments, you’ll receive an e-mail containing your password.

4. What is a personal page?

Once you’ve logged in to your Walk Center, click on the “Personal Page” icon at the top of the page. You’ll be taken to a page that you can customize and edit. Add photos, select colors, include a personal message explaining why you are involved. It’s a great way to get donors interested in your cause or to recruit team members.

5. Do I have to use my personal page?

Not really, but it’s a sure and easy way to get your donors’ attention. You can customize the layout, color and photos, and personalize it with your story. Your personal Web page creatively expresses your connection to the cause.

6. How do I resize a photo so I can upload it to my personal page?

To resize your photos, use any graphic manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Image Composer or software that may have been packaged with your digital camera. Most software will resize proportionately, so if you set the width to 300 pixels, the height should adjust correctly. Save the resized version as a new file and upload it to your Walk page. An ideal width for the Walk pages is 200 to 300 pixels.

7. Are there other ways to use my Walk Center?

Your Walk Center is a great resource for getting in touch with potential donors. Upload your contact list from your personal e-mail account. Edit and send personalized e-mails asking for donations and team members. Track who’s reading your messages and who needs a thank-you note. Check back often to monitor your progress.

8.  How do I upload my addresses from my personal e-mail account?

Log in to your Walk Center using your user name and password and click on “Address Book” at the top of the page. Click either “Import Contacts” or “Online Import.” The easiest way is to click on “Online Import,” then click on the “add from my address book” button. From here, you’ll be able to access your personal e-mail account and automatically load addresses into your Walk Center.

9. How can I create a personalized Web address for my page?

Log in to your Walk Center and click “Update personal URLs” in the right-hand column. Here you can create a new URL for your personal page and/or your team page, or copy the link to paste in e-mails you send through your personal e-mail account. This link will appear at the bottom of all e-mails you send through your Walk Center.

10. How do I send my personal page link from own e-mail account?

Log in to your Walk Center and click “update personal URLs” on the right column. Here you will see your current URL for your personal and/or team pages. Copy and paste these into your own e-mail. If sending e-mail through your Walk Center, your personal Web link will be at the bottom of all of these.

11. How can I list on my personal Web site the donations that I collect offline through checks and cash?

Log in to your Walk Center and click on “My Progress” at the top of the page. In the Gift Summary table, click the link “Enter Gifts Received Offline.” Fill in the requested information. Send checks to National Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97223.

12. How do I change my fundraising goal?

Log in to your Walk Center. On the right-hand side, you’ll see a box where you can set a new goal. Enter your new amount and click on “Update Goal."

13. How do I change my personal goal?

At the top of the page, you’ll be able to choose or change your fundraising goal. Once you’ve done this, scroll down and click “Save.”

14. How can I see who has donated on my behalf?

You will receive automatic e-mails letting you know when someone makes a donation. If you want to check, log in to your Walk Center using your user name and password. Click the “My Progress” icon and you’ll be able to view your donors and the amount each has donated.

15. What is the difference a public and private personal page?

When you create your personal page, it automatically is “public.” That is, anyone can search for you by name and see your personal page to make a donation on your behalf.  If you decide to make your page “private,” your name will not appear when someone searches our participants list. With a private personal page, only people you invite will be able to support you. To make your personal page private, log in using your user name and password. Click the “Make my campaign private” link in the box on the right-hand side of the page.

16.  What should I do if I have any questions that weren't answered here?
